Thor: Ragnarok finished shooting last October, and fans are wondering when they’ll get to see the first clips from the movie, along with how Taika Waititi made Thor: Ragnarok feel like one of his movies.
During a recent interview with A.V. Club, the director compared Thor: Ragnarok with the Russos' Captain America: Civil War:
I think the overall sense that I'm trying to give to the audience and what I want the audience to leave the cinema carrying with them is a sense of joy, really (via CBM).
Furthermore, Taika Waititi said that his characters are in no way the mere humans from Civil War, although their problems can be said to be those of humans:
Sometimes I would stop and think, I'm doing a movie that's got Thor and Doctor Strange and The Incredible Hulk and Loki and every character is so strange and different…Civil War is just humans, humans with human problems. Ours is creatures and beings and all these sort of really different characters. Again displaying human problems, but in outer space or in other worlds.
The director also revealed that he'll cameo in Thor: Ragnarok. Why?
It's not like a thing that I've ever planned, but now I'm in all of my movies in a small role or a larger role…I'll probably just keep doing that. It's like a dumb thing I do now.
However, he said nothing about the role Sam Neill will be playing, rumored to be The Trader:
He blabbed on the internet, didn't he? I don't want to say too much about it, because it's a really cool little thing that he's doing.
Thor: Ragnarok will be released on the 3rd of November.
Maybe the Super Bowl will bring a first look. What do you think?
