Yesterday, we let you know about the announcement of today’s release of the final Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer. And today, we were pleasantly surprised to see that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures launched two new trailers to promote the July 7, 2017 release!
Despite complaints that the second trailer contained too many spoilers, the studios haven't backed down from including additional footage from the movie. But after watching these trailers, I feel that, as Tom Holland recently promised in an interview, there's much more going on in the movie than one might assume.
We previously heard that Spidey's suit will come with its own J.A.R.V.I.S.-like A.I. assistant, and we see this right at the beginning of the domestic trailer. The promotional video also provides us with glimpses of the superhero's apparent first encounters with The Vulture (Michael Keaton) and the other baddies, whose advanced weapons were created using the remnants of Chitauri technology from the Battle of New York. We also get to see Donald Glover's character speak for the first time, as well as Spidey eating a churro! Check it out below!
There’s rarely any difference between domestic and international movie trailers, but the last ones for Spider-Man: Homecoming are actually quite different from one another. For instance, the international trailer opens with an extended look at last year's Captain America: Civil War airport battle. The remainder of the trailer offers a better understanding of what The Vulture is up to, and shows us how closely the movie is connected with the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here's that trailer!
Apart from the trailers, Marvel and Sony have also released a couple of new Spider-Man: Homecoming posters. Check them out below!
