Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange is one of the new superheroes to be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Three. But unlike Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther and Tom Holland's Spider-Man, who are also the new kids on the block, the Sorcerer Supreme won't appear in the first Phase Three installment, Captain America: Civil War"¦ unless it's a post-credits cameo.
However, if he was appearing in the movie, whose side would he pick? Anthony and Joe Russo know the answer very well! The Captain America: Civil War directors recently shared via their official Facebook page that Doctor Strange would have supported Steve Rogers and his team. They wrote, "Dr. Strange is on #TeamCap"!
Stephen Vincent Strange didn't pick a side in Civil War comic book storyline. He sat out. But he was critical of the Superhero Registration Act, wasn't he? So, if Benedict Cumberbatch's incarnation appeared in Captain America: Civil War and stood alongside Team Cap, it wouldn't have been much surprising.
By the way, there’s a good reason why Doctor Strange would have been on Team Cap! The following meme would help you understand it!
