Little is known about this year's Spider-Man and what role he will play in the entire Civil War. Even less is known about the 2017 reboot, other than a couple of cast members (Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Zendaya as Michelle). So what can we expect from this character in the MCU?
For starters, the solo movie won't be an origin story, since Spider-Man will have already been presented in the Civil War, wearing a kick-ass costume, most likely designed by Tony Stark. Also, we should probably expect a special appearance from Robert Downey Jr., just because Peter Parker must look up to him.
Well, a new rumor has appeared on the web, courtesy of Empire Online. According to the magazine, the title of the Spider-Man reboot may have been revealed - and not by Marvel. Thus, the website reports that Sony has registered the URL SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com, thus also revealing possible plot details.

If this will indeed be the final title, many fans will be disappointed - as some backlash has already appeared on the web, with many saying that Spectacular or Incredible Spider-Man would work better. However, we find that this title is more than suiting, since it also shows that the web slinger is finally home, together with (almost) all the Marvel characters.
Furthermore, if this is indeed the final title, then we can also expect a cameo not just from Robert Downey Jr., but also from Chris Evans. In the comics, during the Homecoming storyline, both Iron Man and Captain America have been featured.
Even more than that, the Homecoming storyline featured Peter Parker wearing the symbiote costume. And this makes sense, especially since Sony has already announced a Venom movie.
Nonetheless, quite a while ago, Kevin Feige said that the first Spider-Man flick in the MCU will feature a villain that hasn't been seen before in the movies. So what can we make of this? What do you think?
