Just a couple of days ago, you must have heard a hilarious rumor that Robert Downey Jr. might be replaced by a now thirteen year old kid in Iron Man 4. If you didn't hear it, click here to find out in details. Now, there seems to be another vital character cast in the Iron Man franchise that might get replaced by someone younger, probably in the teens! And this one doesn't come from anyone else but the cast herself, Tony Stark's personal assistant-cum-love interest, Pepper Potts cast Gwyneth Paltrow!
Till today, whenever and wherever we've seen Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, there's been Gwyneth Paltrow by his side as Pepper Potts. She has played the role in four different movies, each of the movies of Iron Man trilogy along with a brief appearance in The Avengers.
Paltrow's Concerns On Being Replaced By A Younger Potts!
In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, Gwyneth Paltrow revealed her worries that she might be replaced by an eighteen years or so old cast for the role of Pepper Potts. The interviewer asked her if she would want to star in the fourth installment of Iron Man series when the forty two years old actress expressed her willingness to reprise the role followed by her concern over the replacement.
Does Patrow's Concern Seem To Be Logical Enough?
Paltrow apparently seems to miss out Avengers: Age of Ultron, as the filming is over, you've got the first trailer and the second one is about to launch on 12 January (click here for details). She hasn't also been approached for Captain America: Civil War where Tony is going to appear. That might be the cause of her worry along with the rumor that Robert Downey Jr. is going to be replaced in Iron Man 4 by a kid who will be eighteen years old by the time its filming starts.
But while RDJ is playing the role of Tony Stark, bringing in a younger version of Pepper Potts in place of Gwyneth Paltrow might appear to be an entirely stupid idea and Marvel doesn't seem to be that stupid! They can, at best, put the character in leave of absence for the next movies till Avengers: Infinity War 2 where RDJ is surely going to appear. After that, if they have a replacement for Robert Downey Jr., replacing Palrow by a younger Pepper Potts won't be unreasonable at all!
