The last time we saw Tom Hiddleston as Loki was in the 2013 flick Thor: The Dark World. He shot a little for Avengers: Age of Ultron but that was eventually cut off. So, next year's Thor: Ragnarok will mark Loki's return to big screen after a pretty long break (the more you love Hiddleston as Loki, the longer it seems!).
The British actor is excited about returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe again. Here's what he said in a recent interview (via Daily Beast):
Thor 3 will be cool because I've not done it for four years. I love working with Chris [Hemsworth]. This will be my last time out of the gate.
Wait"¦ "Last time out of the gate" - what does that mean? Does that mean the last time he plays the God of Mischief? Does that mean we won't watch him in Avengers: Infinity War movies? Hiddleston responds:
I don't know! Honestly, I don't know. They haven't got their ducks in a row yet. They make it up as they go along.
Thank God, he didn't say he is sure about that! We definitely want to see more and more of Loki in the MCU, don't we?
Whose side Loki pick if he was in Captain America: Civil War?
Tom Hiddleston's character isn't appearing in Captain America: Civil War but what if he was appearing? Whose side would he pick? The 35-year-old actor knows the answer. He says (via Yahoo!):
He's clearly on Team Loki. They were all fairly unkind to him in The Avengers, so I'm not sure he would be taking sides.
I think most of us would agree with that. And most of us would also agree with what he adds:
I think he would be sitting on a rooftop somewhere enjoying the fact that the children are squabbling. Going, "˜Ah! This is entertaining.'
If Loki was in Captain America: Civil War, he would have definitely wanted to see two more involved in the squabble – his brother Thor and the one who smashed him over and over again and called him "Puny God"! That would have entertained him a lot more!
