X-Men: Apocalypse may not be the first superhero movie from 20th Century Fox in 2016 but obviously is their biggest one of the year. They have poured far less money in making Deadpool. And Gambit hasn't even kicked off filming, so it's unlikely that they release the movie this year. However, with around five months left before the movie's release, they have already launched the first trailer of X-Men: Apocalypse already and will surely boost the promotional campaign very soon.
And a part of the promotions is their teaming up with Kia Motors in a recent Australian Open 2016 commercial! The commercial features the prominent tennis star Raphael Nadal. In case you didn't know, he is a mutant! That's what the commercial shows us!
Back in December 2015, Kia Motors announced the launch of new line of cars named Kia X-Car ahead of Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men flick. The TV spot promotes the X-Cars. You can find out more details on these X-Men inspired sportage from here. Check out the lengthier than one minute commercial below!

Another recent example of a superhero movie's promotion through sports is the Australian T-20 cricket league named Big Bash. Two teams - Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers – played a match donning Batman V Superman themed jerseys. While the jersey of the Perth team embodied Ben Affleck's Batman, the jersey of the Sydney team represented Henry Cavill's Superman.
In case you are curious the outcome of the particular clash, Batman won it! Here's an image featuring the Big Bash players wearing Batman V Superman themed jerseys.
