Kat Graham, best known for her role in The Vampire Diaries, has recently been rumored to be cast in the next X-Men spinoff. Due to arrive in theaters May 27th, 2016, X-Men: Apocalypse has a plot which remains unknown and a cast only in part revealed. However, what we can rightfully assume after considering the lineup is the sequel will bring in the likes of Charles Xavier, Beast, Magneto, Gambit and Mystique at a younger age.
X-Men: Days of Future Past has already introduced the public to the early days of the mutants. As far as Storm is concerned, she was exclusively portrayed in her adulthood. The word goes the upcoming sequel will feature an emerging Storm. The likelihood of Halle Berry to re-impersonate the character she originally brought to life is close to nothing. So, there it is: apparently, she will make way to a new Storm, brought to the big screens by Kat Graham.
Kat Graham's credentials
Could Kat Graham play a younger Storm? We know Halle Berry portrayed a one of a kind heroine. She is powerful yet balanced, key to any of the undertakings of Xavier's team. And, of course, there's the face. Okay, Halle Berry is unique, no one denies it, and she does give off some of her charm to Storm. But who could actually refuse a Kat Graham-impersonated Storm without even considering the possibility?
Kat Graham has the face. She has the body, the training. To top it off, she made it clear she can pull off a powerful leading lady in The Vampire Diaries. Plus, she is no stranger to cameras: she has been playing and dancing and singing since age 9.
