The SDCC Justice League Trailer Introduced Another Superhero!

You didn't see it coming – and neither did we!

With just a couple of hours to go before the DC Extended Universe panel at this year's San Diego Comic Con began, one of the participating stars teased a major Justice League reveal. At the time, it appeared that Jason Momoa had jumped the gun and revealed that one of Earth's Green Lanterns  namely, Hal Jordan - would make his DCEU debut.

Steppenwolf teased the presence of the Lanterns by saying they would save Earth. But Momoa's tease was misread, because we now know that he was referring to the Aquaman footage.

However, there was visual confirmation that another character existed in the DC Extended Universe. And we didn’t even see it coming, although this character had been teased since Man of Steel was released!

One of the Easter eggs from the DCEU's first movie revealed that another Kryptonian might be on Earth. Of course, that Kryptonian had to be Kara Zor-El, better known as Supergirl.

In the San Diego Comic Con Justice League trailer, Steppenwolf announced that Earth was doomed, with no Lanterns and no Kryptonian around to save it. But then we see Bruce Wayne looking at what seems to be a hologram. Given the red cape, it seemed to be a hologram of Superman.

Except that it wasn't! Those cannot be the muscular legs of Kal-El! Check it out at around 1:40 into the trailer:

If that’s Supergirl, how did Warner Bros. manage to keep such a secret…well, secret? Will Superman return and bring an even more powerful ally?

Of course, the hologram Wayne is looking at could just be a random computer file that he stumbled on in his search for new allies (as he did in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). This means that an actress needn't have been cast (especially if her face isn't seen), but the reveal still remains!

This is it
