Superman apparently died in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We know that he’s going to return, but Warner Bros. is keeping the details of that return under wraps. They’ve left the Man of Steel out of all of the Justice League trailers and clips released so far, and Henry Cavill hasn't been seen in the company of any cast member, all of whom are working hard to promote the movie. All of the secrecy has fans speculating about how the studio will bring back Superman.
However, some of the tie-in merchandise and accompanying descriptions may have finally given away the specifics of Superman’s return! Check it out if you don’t mind spoilers!
Superhero Stuff recently listed a new product called Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat. Fans believe that this is an indication that Superman will wear his iconic black suit from the comics when he returns.
Here’s Superhero Stuff’s product description:
Superman’s cinematic resurrection will parallel the hit comic story, considering he returns in a stylish black costume soon after a very tense fight with Doomsday.
And that’s not all! The website included a description of how Superman comes back from the dead that cites Superman's newly resurrected appearance from the hit film Justice League. The cap can be seen as a nod toward the comic books, in which the Man of Steel was resurrected using the regeneration Matrix.
Of course, this isn't exactly a confirmation that Henry Cavill will wear the iconic black suit, although he did tease it. We hope that Warner Bros. learned its lesson after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the rumor isn’t confirmed or debunked until the movie’s released. We’ll find out when we see the final trailer later this week.
Justice League will be released on November 17.
