Warner Bros and DC have a huge heap of projects under their belt, with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice on post-production, Suicide Squad finalizing its cast and Wonder Woman script under development. While the first two are scheduled for a 2016 release, the third of their ventures will hit the theatres on 23 June, 2017. We already know that Gal Gadot will reprise her role as the title lead of Wonder Woman after playing the same in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. We also know that the Games of Thrones and The Walking Dead director Michelle Maxwell MacLaren will be directing the female superhero movie. Few days back, we heard that Pan screenwriter Jason Fuchs has been hired to develop the screenplay. But now, the latest rumor that we have is that Jason isn't the only, rather one among the many!
Not Two Or Three But Six!
According to a series of posts in the social networking website Twitter by a screenwriter named Arash Amel, Warner Bros and DC have hired six different screenwriters to develop a script of their own for Wonder Woman. The screenwriter mentioned to have heard such thing from someone. The best among the six will be chosen by the studio or the best parts from those scripts will be fussed together.
Arash Amel: Overreacting?
Erased and Grace of Monaco screenwriter Arash Amel went quite furious on such a move by Warner Bros and DC, but this isn't anything new with them or even a big budget movie from any other studio. There were two different screenwriters asked to develop a script for Aquaman as well. Two to seven screenwriters involved in a script's development isn't unusual as the creative team gets exposed to more options and might utilize the chance of bringing out the best from them.
