Injustice 2: Story Trailer - Daily Superheroes - Your daily dose of Superheroes news

Injustice 2: Story Trailer

As reported, yesterday brought the first Injustice 2 trailer. And there are plenty of new details we can take from it. As expected, we get to see our favorite DC characters, such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Flash, battling. But we also get to see characters who’ve been added to the roster, such as Supergirl and Damian Wayne.

But it’s the trailer’s theme that’s important: the duality of all of these characters. Without it, the characters couldn't be manipulated into fighting each other. Check it out below:

The trailer also reveals the identity of the one baddie who is trying to defeat the superheroes by making them fight each other. It’s Brainiac, the super-powerful alien AI who collects civilizations (and who is also long overdue on the big screen, we might add). In order to defeat Earth, he has to remove the superheroes.

And, as Comic Book reported, he does manage to manipulate Supergirl at first. The character was teased by Injustice 2 writer Tom Taylor at last year's Comic Con:

Supergirl is one I'm really excited for. Her origin, how she's in the game, isn't really talked about, so it's up to us to establish that backstory. She's rocketing into the world at this point in time. She hasn't been in our world until this time, she's arriving now. And who she hooks up with is going to define where she goes. She's a huge part of it.

As expected, Injustice 2 will pick up where Injustice: Gods Among Us left off, with an imprisoned Superman breaking free. It remains to be seen, however, where everything will lead.

For the moment, there is no certain release date for Injustice 2. But it’s safe to say that the fans are more than excited for more!
