Aubrey Plaza Wants to Be Catwoman!

Aubrey Plaza is no stranger to the comic book movie genre. She appeared as Julie Powers in Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in 2010, and this year she had a role in the critically acclaimed series Legion. As she’s teased in the past, she’d love to take on another comic book movie character.

While promoting the surprisingly good The Little Hours, Plaza held an AMA session on Reddit. Among the many questions she received, she was asked which movie she'd like to be in. She answered that she'd like to play Catwoman, and now that we’ve thought about it, we think she'd make an excellent addition to David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens.

This isn't the first time she’s mentioned this specific character. She told Total Magazine that she’d die for such a role. She added that it would be even better if she had the opportunity to work alongside Ben Affleck:

I would f-cking die to do something like that. There’s something so sexy and badass about Catwoman. I just think it’s the ultimate female role. You get to be a woman, but you also [get to] destroy people, and you use all your female energy for evil. I just kind of love that (via Cosmic Book News).

Of course, she’s not a top fan choice for Catwoman. But no one can deny that casting her for the role would bring an unexpected twist to the role.

So far, all we know about Gotham City Sirens is that it will feature Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). And since we’ve haven’t had a casting announcement, Aubrey Plaza still has a shot at Catwoman!
