Aquaman Doesn’t Want to Talk in New SDCC Footage Description!

As it was rumored a while ago, the DC Extended Universe debuted two brand new clips at this year's San Diego Comic Con. There were also numerous announcements, the most notable being that there would be a Flashpoint event that could trigger a reboot of the shared universe.

The DCEU’s Aquaman footage really didn’t reveal anything new, but it was introduced by star Jason Momoa, who announced, “The king is here” as he took the stage. In a message, director James Wan mentioned that the audience will experience Atlantis right along with Arthur Curry.

In the past, the director had said that Aquaman will follow in the footsteps of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Romancing the Stone. He also teased that it would be a quest story, although he didn't reveal what the object of the quest was.

Jason Momoa had some news of his own, saying that he’ll indeed fight his brother, Ocean Master (played by Patrick Wilson), and his army. We were aware that the movie would begin with Ocean Master as the king of Atlantis. But Arthur's arrival is sure to complicate things, given the fact that his father is a mere human.

The Aquaman footage started off with two fishermen in a small boat. After casting their lines, one snags his on something big, and it drags their boat across the ocean - eventually pulling the fishing pole out of the fisherman's hands. Below the water, a fleet of vehicles goes by, and the camera dives below the surface of the ocean to take a look at submarines shaped like manta rays and warriors riding multi-finned sharks. Momoa revealed during the panel that the army is Ocean Master's. That part of the clip ends with a shark eating the camera. The footage then cuts to Momoa as Aquaman on a sunken ship. He says, "I suppose you don't want to talk about this, huh. Neither do I." He pulls a sword and attacks the camera - ending the Comic Con footage.
