The DC Extended Universe might be just three movies old, but we have already come across a number of rumors and quite a bit of speculation about the arrival of Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke. There was a long-standing rumor about Scott Eastwood playing the character in Suicide Squad, and there was even a crazy theory earlier suggesting that Ben Affleck is Slade in disguise as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!
As soon as the movies released, the rumors and speculation got buried, but not the chances of seeing Deathstroke in the DCEU. Now, it appears that the deadliest mercenary and assassin of all is actually not that far away from making his first appearance in the live-action cinematic universe.
Just a few hours ago, Ben Affleck shared a cryptic video featuring Deathstroke via his official social media accounts! This could mean a number of things, and we can't be sure about it as there is no caption, comment, or explanation with the post. In the video, the supervillain is walking down most probably an aircraft bay. You can check it out below!

Since Affleck is currently filming next year's Justice League, this could be a scene from that movie. The 44-year-old actor is not only starring in the Zack Snyder flick, but is also serving as an executive producer. So, his revealing the arrival of a character in Justice League doesn't seem strange.
Again, Ben Affleck is in charge of directing the untitled Batman standalone movie and co-writing its script, apart from starring and producing. So, this could be some test footage from that movie, as well.
And there's another possible meaning for the video that nobody is going to like - Affleck is just TROLLING us!
However, according to The Wrap, Affleck is NOT just trolling us, as one of their sources has confirmed that Deathstroke will be the main antagonist in the Batman standalone movie!
