True to Marvel’s recent announcement, the second trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was released today, and it’s loaded with over two minutes of new footage from the April 27, 2018 release. In keeping with a voice-over by Thanos (Josh Brolin), the trailer perfectly balances spine-tingling and rib-tickling moments.
The trailer opens as Gamora briefs Iron Man on the Mad Titan and what he's capable of. This is followed with Thanos’ description of his plan to wipe out half of mankind:
When I’m done, half of humanity will still exist…perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
In a new shot of the supervillain, he's clad in full armor. Another shows him holding a child's hand (possibly Gamora’s) in what might be a flashback sequence. We also see Captain America block a punch from Thanos.
The first trailer seemed to hint that Loki would switch sides in the upcoming Russo Brothers flick. The second trailer seems to confirm this by showing him standing side-by-side with members of the Black Order.
During a more humorous moment, Star-Lord tells Iron Man that his plan is good, except it sucks. Later in the trailer, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange introduce each other, but with made-up names. Check out the trailer here:
