New photos of the Star Wars Black Series Darth Malak and Bastila Shan figures give fans a closer look at the updated designs of these characters.

Hasbro has released new images of their upcoming Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic-inspired figures, showcasing the changes they have made to the character designs of Darth Malak and Bastila Shan.

New Images of Star Wars Black Series Figures Reveal Upgraded Character Designs at London Comic Con 2022

Images of the Star Wars Black Series Darth Malak and Star Wars Black Series Bastila Shan figures debuted at London Comic Con 2022. While both statistics clearly take their cues from their respective Knights of the Old Republic namesakes, they also sport several costume details not present in the 2003 RPG. Notably, Darth Malak’s armored chest plate is more pronounced, and his form-fitting bodysuit is now a looser tunic with separate trousers, while Bastila is rocking upgraded shoulder pads. In addition, Bastila also boasts a slightly different hairstyle than in Knights of the Old Republic.

Hasbro is capitalizing on the enduring popularity of the Knights of the Old Republic video game franchise by releasing new Star Wars Black Series figures and expanding its Force FX Elite line. The latest figures include updated designs for Darth Malak and Bastila Shan, while the Force FX Elite line will consist of a lightsaber based on the one wielded by the first game’s protagonist, Darth Revan. Hasbro hails the lightsaber as its “most realistic Force FX Lightsaber yet,” and equips it with a removable blade that can switch between purple and red LED modes.

The Knights of the Old Republic Remake’s Woes

Hasbro’s recent release of merchandise related to Knights of the Old Republic may be linked to the upcoming remake of the game. In September 2021, Sony announced that Lucasfilm Games and Aspyr Media were developing a new version of the 2003 classic. However, a year later, Aspyr fired the game’s art and design directors, causing concerns over the company’s ability to deliver a high-quality game. As a result, Lucasfilm Games transferred the project to Saber Interactive. Despite the setback, the team is still planning to release the remake in the future.

Hasbro, the Star Wars: The Black Series manufacturer, plans to release its Darth Malak and Bastila Shan figures in the summer of 2023. These figures are based on the characters from the classic video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The statistics feature updated designs from their original counterparts and will be a great addition to any Star Wars collection. The figures are highly detailed and accurately depict the characters from the game. Fans have eagerly awaited the release of these figures and are excited to add them to their collection. The release of these figures also marks a broader push by Hasbro to capitalize on the video game franchise’s enduring popularity.
