The Flash has already winded up its first season last night with quite an impressive season finale. But we definitely know that the Fastest Man Alive will return with a brand new season this fall. What can we expect from the second season?
Titular role cast Grant Gustin hints that The Flash isn't going to be all the same in the upcoming season - at least he expects so! While sharing his thoughts to ComicBook, the actor states:
"I want to be able to, next year, get a little more cocky with it and confident with the super powers. I want to be a little bit closer to the Flash from the comics."
And it seems like the lead actor isn't just guessing - he has talked to the head honchos about the growth of The Flash. Here's what he shares:
"I had actually gotten to a place where I talked to [EPs] Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti about it, because I felt like Barry had gotten to this really dark place, and he maybe wasn't having fun anymore. They promised me that Barry was still having fun, and he'd still get those moments."
The Flash To Introduce Earth-Two Soon!
In another interview with TV Guide, Grant Gustin claims that the series is likely to introduce multiple universes…(Continued to Page 2)
(Continued from Page 1)… in the second season! The actor states:
"What’s fun about this show is that there’s going to be multiple timelines as we move forward. I think we’re going to start showing Earth-One and Earth-Two in the near future. There will be kind of different dimensions going on.”
One of the mesmerizing sides of DC Comics is the existence of multiple universes of parallel dimensions and realities. That allows you to explore the DC Universe through a different lens and often assist their crossover events. Earth-Two hosts all of the golden age characters of DC Comics, including Jay Garrick - the silver-haired speedster.
Finale Offers First Look At Killer Frost!
Meanwhile, the finale of The Flash Season 1 has placed in front of us for the first time Danielle Panabaker's Doctor Caitlin Snow as the epic DC supervillain Killer Frost. Here's a couple of screenshots featuring Caitlin as Killer Frost (via ComicBook).
