With around a couple of weeks remaining before Tom Hardy's Venom hits the theaters, three new featurettes for the movie have surfaced on web, showing off some exciting new footage and revealing some interesting new details.
In one of the new featurettes, we mostly find director Ruben Fleischer and cast members Riz Ahmed and Michelle Williams talking about the October 5 release. But we also catch some fresh glimpses of what appears to be an epic battle between the Symbiotes merged with Hardy's Eddie Brock and Ahmed's Carlton Drake - Venom and Riot. The two CGI-heavy monsters exchange some really nasty blows before literally ripping each other apart. Check it out below!

In another featurette, the movie's VFX supervisor Paul Franklin reveals that the Symbiotes seem to actively want to be collected by the Life Foundation space probe that has been faring across the outer space in search of life. The reason why the alien beings are so eager to be held in captivity is that they have been looking for a planet like Earth where they can find hosts to inhabit. Here's the featurette for you!
The third Venom featurette doesn't include either any tantalizing new footage or any intriguing new details. It simply shows Franklin and production designer Oliver Scholl explain Tom Hardy's dual performance in the movie. It also contains some new behind-the-scenes footage. Check it out below!
Apart from the featurettes, Sony has also dropped a new TV spot for their upcoming Marvel Comics adaptation. The commercial runs for only half a minute but includes some never-before-seen glimpses from the movie. One of those is a shot of Eddie transforming into his Symbiote alter-ego while another shows the antihero on the verge of eating a Life Foundation goon's head.
But perhaps, it would be wise to not expect an explicit version of the not-so-heroic act in the theaters as the movie has been officially rated PG-13. But, we might eventually get something like that in a potential unrated cut on home media. Anyway, check out the TV spot below!
