The size of the Avengers: Infinity War cast has been a hot topic among fans since the Russo Brothers remarked that they’d counted 67 characters in the movie. The statement has been repeatedly clarified, but Scarlett Johansson, who portrays Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has teased a scene from the movie that features an enormous number of characters.
The 32-year-old actress recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote her recently-released dark comedy flick Rough Night. At one point, Colbert implored her to share something about Avengers: Infinity War. Johansson’s response:
I really can’t. I can’t think of anything that I could possibly say"¦Alright, I’m in it (and) at one point, I do think that the Infinity War"¦there are 61 or 62 Marvel characters in it. There’s a lot.
Surprised, Colbert asks whether she means that there are that many characters in a single scene or in the movie as a whole.
I think, in one particular scene, there’s like 32, there’s a lot. There’s so many of us. I don’t even know who’s a Marvel character and who’s a crew member, honestly.

It must be noted that Scarlett Johansson mentioned Marvel characters, so she’s definitely not counting the extras. Unfortunately, she doesn't reveal any details about the scene, such as whether it's a get-together or pep talk or an action scene. If it's a get-together or pep talk, the characters must be the heroes and their allies.
If it's a fight scene, we’ll see both heroes and villains. But with that many characters, the scene would feel much more crowded – and hopefully, more epic – than the airport battle scene from Captain America: Civil War. That's really huge!
