Every Confirmed Cast Member In DC’s Man Of Tomorrow

Lux Luthor and Superman facing off in Superman (2025)

The next entry in the new DC Universe is underway. James Gunn, the co-head of DC Studios at Warner Bros. alongside Peter Safran, directed last year’s Superman. That movie was a success that helped set up the new era of DC. Now, Gunn is in production on Man of Tomorrow, a sequel that will see David Corenswet’s Superman teaming up with Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The stacked cast makes Man of Tomorrow intriguing even though the movie doesn’t come out until summer 2027. New talent is being added all the time. Many of the actors have had their roles revealed. Others are being kept under wraps. Below, we’ve gathered every known actor in the movie as well as their role, if it’s known. Check it out.

The Man of Tomorrow Cast

  • David Corenswet – Clark Kent/Superman
  • Nicholas Hoult – Lex Luthor
  • Rachel Brosnahan – Lois Lane
  • Nathan Fillion – Guy Gardner/Green Lantern
  • Isabela Merced – Hawkgirl
  • Skyler Gisondo – Jimmy Olsen
  • Frank Grillo – Rick Flag Sr.
  • Aaron Pierre – John Stewart/Green Lantern
  • Edi Gathegi – Mister Terrific
  • Adria Arjona – Maxima
  • Lars Eidinger – Brainiac
  • Sarah Sampaio – Eve Teschmacher
  • María Gabriela de Faría – The Engineer
  • Andre Royo – Unknown
  • Matthew Lillard – Unknown

There’s a lot to unpack regarding the cast list. Aaron Pierre is making his debut as John Stewart in Lanterns on HBO this year. He stars alongside Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, who is notably absent from this movie. At least so far as what’s been confirmed. As far as villains go, Lars Eidinger is bringing Brainiac to life. This is the first time that the villain will be the big bad of a live-action movie. It’s a big deal.

There’s also Adria Arjona, who is said to be playing Maxima. There’s a new Wonder Woman movie in development at DC Studios. Arjona, who viewers will recognize from Andor, was a major favorite to play Wonder Woman. There’s been some speculation that Maxima is a cover and she’s actually playing Diana Prince. That is, however, just speculation for the time being. Gunn is also reuniting with Matthew Lillard, who worked with him on Scooby-Doo in 2002.

“It’s going to be out in two years in theaters, on July 9th of 2027, which is relatively a short time between sequels because we knew immediately where we were going,” Gunn said of the sequel on the Howard Stern Show last year. “t is a story about Lex Luthor and Superman having to work together to a certain degree against a much, much bigger threat. And it’s more complicated than that, but that’s a big part of it. It’s as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie.”

The DC Universe is truly taking shape as we speak. Supergirl is hitting theaters in June of this year. Clayface is also arriving in October, giving the Batman villain a solo adventure, which looks like a full-on horror movie. Many other projects are in development but what lies beyond that largely depends on what comes of the pending Paramount acquisition of Warner Bros.

Man of Tomorrow hits theaters on July 9, 2027.
