What’s more, the limited engagement will also include the “2.1” extended cut of Spider-Man 2.
All three films will screen across the country on the weekend of September 26. An encore weekend will follow on the weekend of October 4. This release marks the first time that Spider-Man 2.1 has ever been released in theaters. Tickets for the special screenings go on sale beginning July 26. The release schedule is as follows.

Raimi’s trilogy starred Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and helped kick off the superhero movie boom in the early 2000s, alongside the likes of X-Men. Though Spider-Man 3 couldn’t live up to the first two movies, all three were wildly successful at the box office at the time of their release. Raimi would later return to Marvel to direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Maguire, meanwhile, returned alongside fellow Spider-Men Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Ray Nutt, chief executive officer of Fathom Entertainment, had the following to say about the re-release.
“The success of Spider-Man in 2002 helped launch the modern era of superhero films. To this day, Tobey Maguire’s take on Spider-Man resonates across generations. At Fathom Entertainment, we celebrate fandom and I am delighted that Spider-Man 2.1 in 4K will make its theatrical debut, a true gift for longtime fans and a thrilling discovery for new ones.”
Next up for Spidey on the big screen will be Holland’s return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is gearing up for production. It will be part of the final phase of Marvel’s Multiverse Saga, which also includes next year’s Avengers: Doomsday and 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars. Whether or not we’ll see Maguire suit up as the webslinger once again in any of those movies remains to be seen.
The Spider-Man trilogy returns to theaters beginning September 26.
