X-Men: Apocalypse will debut in the US in ten days, and fans are already saying that Fox has revealed too much in the trailers and clips released until now. Furthermore, the buzz for the movie has slowly decreased after the arrival of the first reviews, which called X-Men: Apocalypse just a bit better than X-Men: Last Stand. Will this next piece of news convince the fans to see the movie during its opening weekend? Or will it convince even more of them to wait a bit more?
Obviously, here be huge spoilers, since the post-credits scene is revealed. So check it out - or don't! You were warned!
While the critics didn't get to see the post-credits scene of X-Men: Apocalypse (reportedly), Bleeding Cool came up with an interesting scoop that says otherwise. According to the website, the post-credits scene will greatly influence the upcoming spin-offs (Wolverine 3 and Gambit), as well as X-Men movies that follow. The website reports:
We see a besuited man walking through the remains of the Weapon X clean-up program, removing the blood, bodies, and bullets. And a suited man retrieving vials of Wolverine's blood, labeled Weapon X. And placing them into his briefcase, which contains other vials of differing colors. Slamming shut, we see that it’s labeled ESSEX CORP.
So"¦Essex Corp. This surely means that Nathaniel Essex will appear in future X-Men movies. And Nathaniel Essex is none other than Mr. Sinister, one of Apocalypse's own creations. He was rumored to be a hidden villain in the Gambit solo flick - but since that movie got delayed, we guess we'll see him for the first time in the third solo Wolverine film.
So is this rumor to be trusted, or not? We guess we'll just wait and see. It sure falls in line with the speculation about the possible introduction of X23 in the near future.
