While Wonder Woman doesn't arrive until the 23^rd of June 2017, we cannot help to wonder what will happen in that movie. And that is because, unlike the MCU, DCEU takes a much more different approach "“ instead of building towards an ensemble superhero flick, with solo adventures and origins, it goes the other way around.

So, in a way, when the Wonder Woman movie will be released, her story would have already been started in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We cannot imagine how that would go on "“ it will certainly present some sort of backstory for the character, but we don't know in what way exactly.

So let's go with the first news/rumor of the day!

Different timelines for Wonder Woman's solo flick

Of course, you already knew that Wonder Woman will take place sometime during WWII or between the World Wars. And it can be said that this was a pretty on the spot speculation. However, new information has revealed that the movie will actually take place in 2 (or maybe more) different historical time periods.

Thus, the first part of the movie is said to take place during the First World War, when (presumably) Steve Trevor will also be introduced. Afterwards, via flashbacks, some other jumps in the timeline will be made.

However, the finale of Wonder Woman will take place in the modern times. If this seems to you that it mirrors in some way the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, then you are not wrong.

Also, at the moment, it isn't known whether or not the modern age will story will pick up after the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It would be pretty awesome if it didn't and if this part of the Wonder Woman story played more like a prequel to next year's Zack Snyder flick.
