It was at the end of Season 1 of the CW series Arrow, when Tommy Merlyn died. After missing badly for the entire Season 2, you must have been thrilled to see him back as a part of flashbacks in the Season 3. Now, it seems like Tommy fans will have some more and perhaps denser thrilling experiences as you are going to see him again Arrow and most likely just not as a part of flashbacks!
What makes this news more than a rumor is that the return of Tommy Merlyn has been declared by Oliver Queen himself! Oliver cast Stephen Amell shared a photo of his with Tommy Merlyn cast Colin Donnel in his page of social media site Facebook. The photo is carried with words that actually make the news, "There's just no way we were making our 60th episode without Colin Donnell. I WOULDN'T ALLOW IT!!!" 60th episode means the fifth episode to follow the mid-season finale which has been named "˜The Return'!
Spoilers: Tommy's Return Not Just In Flashbacks!
If you thought Tommy's going to return in flashback scenes like he's been throughout this season, there's a more exciting probability that you might not have thought. In the mid-season finale, we saw Oliver die in the hands of Ra's Al Ghul but it seems unlikely that the series will complete the second half of the season having their lead character dead. Somehow, Oliver is supposed to come alive in the series. Well, we might have a clue from the mid-season finale on that "˜somehow'! If you watched the episode, you must have heard the word "˜The Lazarus Pit'. Lazarus Pit is DC's own fountain of youth which can bring people back from the dead. Now, if Oliver is returning from dead to alive through this pit, there are very good chances of Tommy returning alongside him as well!
What do you think, guys? Are you excited about Tommy's return to Arrow?
