Those who haven’t watched Superman & Lois have the chance to. Assuming they have an active HBO Max subscription. The streaming service has announced that the first five episodes of The CW’s latest DC Comics series will be available, but only for a limited time.

“Being Superman means more than just saving the world. The first five episodes of Superman & Lois are available to stream on HBO Max until May 17,” the tweet reads.
Superman & Lois had to take a break after airing its first handful of episodes. The show faced a production delay as a result of the pandemic. As such, there has been a gap in the first season. Now, HBO Max is stepping up to help bring a bigger audience to the show during that downtime. Since the service has become a major DC hub over the last year, that makes a great deal of sense.
Here is the synopsis for Superman & Lois.
“In SUPERMAN & LOIS, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, “Teen Wolf”) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, “Grimm”), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, “Little Fires Everywhere”) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin, “The Peanuts Movie”) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.”
The series debuted earlier this year to help fill the voids in the ArrowVerse. Arrow wrapped up its run last year, with Supergirl and Black Lightning set to end soon. Plus, Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash are both getting up there. Yet, The CW wants to keep this train on the tracks for some time.
Lucky for them, Superman & Lois has been received incredibly well thus far. The premiere episode was one of the network’s most-viewed premieres in years and critics responded kindly. The CW handed out a second season renewal shortly after the premiere arrived online. So at least one of those vacancies will be filled for the foreseeable future.
Superman & Lois returns on The CW on May 18.
