PSA: Batman: Caped Crusader Is Now Streaming On Prime Video

Batman: Caped Crusader - Prime Video

The wait is finally over, Batman fans. As of today, Batman: Caped Crusader season 1 is streaming in its entirety on Amazon Prime Video. Hailing from the mind of Bruce Timm, the man behind Batman: The Animated Series, this new show takes Bruce Wayne to the 1940s, offering us a version of Gotham City quite unlike anything we’ve seen before.

The series is billed as a reimagining of the Batman mythology. Aside from Timm, executive J.J. Abrams The Batman director Matt Reeves are on board as executive producers. When Caped Crusader was first announced three years ago, it was originally supposed to air on Cartoon Network and Max. However, as Warner Bros. did some shuffling around, Amazon won the rights. Now, here we are, with all ten episodes of the show’s first season ready for fans to enjoy.

Here is the synopsis for Batman: Caped Crusader.

“Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—the BATMAN. His one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.”

There is no shortage of Batman to go around right now. Aside from the ever-present lineup of DC Comics, there are several other Batman-centric projects in the works. Most notably, Reeves’ The Batman: Part II is currently in the works. Unfortunately, it was recently delayed a full year to 2026. DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran are also currently developing The Brave and the Bold. That movie, directed by Andy Muschietti, will cast a new Batman as well as a new Robin. It will take place inside the new DC Universe continuity, which begins with Gunn’s Superman movie next year.

The cast for the series is led by Hamish Linklater (Midnight Mass) as Batman. The stacked ensemble also includes Jamie Chung, Diedrich Bader, Christina Ricci, Minnie Driver, Mckenna Grace, Eric Morgan Stuart, Michelle C. Bonilla, Krystal Joy Brown, John DiMaggio, Paul Scheer, Reid Scott, Tom Kenny, Jason Watkins, Gary Anthony Williams, Dan Donohue, David Krumholtz, Haley Joel Osment and Toby Stephens.

Along with Abrams, Reeves and Timm, executive producers include Ed Brubaker, James Tucker, Daniel Pipski, Rachel Rusch Rich and Sam Register.

Batman: Caped Crusader is streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.
