Spider-Man is introduced late in Captain America: Civil War "“ that's what Anthony Russo, one of the directors of the movie, has confirmed recently. He, along with Ant-Man, serves as the comic relief for the movie's serious tone. That's the extent to which they have revealed on the web-slinger's role in Civil War.
The new Spider-Man actor Tom Holland is in his teen years "“ so, one would expect such a young actor to let slip a few details about his role or about the movie. But don't even expect that! While talking to Entertainment Weekly, the actor has stated that he doesn't even know "˜what Civil War is about'! Claiming that he's shot for a week or two for the movie, he said:
"So they offered for me to read the script, and I said "˜No, I don't want to read it, because I'll be doing all these interviews and I'll end up telling secrets and stuff. I've got such a big mouth.' So I actually don't know what it's about."

Holland went on to say that he is going to watch Civil War as "˜an audience member', rather than the actor who is a part of it. He added:
"I'll be like, "˜I wonder what my bits are about?'"
Tom Holland is real smart guy, just what you expect Spider-Man to be. If he hasn't really read the script, that's an intelligent decision because he will be asked repeatedly these same questions until the movie releases. And if this is a statement to get away with interviews without revealing much, that's cunning!
