We already knew that two new youth-centric Marvel Television ventures will be released on Freeform next year. And Hulu announced during their NewFronts presentation that Marvel's Runaways, which received a pilot order from the online streaming service in August 2016, has now been given a series pickup (via The Hollywood Reporter).
The ten-episode first season will premiere in 2018. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (creators of The O.C.) will serve as the series’ showrunners.
During their presentation, Hulu also unveiled a first look at the titular superhero team and a teaser trailer, both of which have made their way online. The 45-second trailer is pretty cool, but it’s recorded, so the video quality isn't the best. We don't know when Hulu will launch the official version, but it's entirely possible that it won't be anytime soon, considering that the release date is a year away. For the time being, we’ll have to be content with the recorded version. Check it out here:

The upcoming Marvel/Hulu series stars Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein, and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez. The diverse teen superheroes may not get along well, but "they must unite against a common foe - their parents".
Ryan Sands, Angel Parker, Brittany Ishibashi, James Yaegashi, Kevin Weisman, Brigid Brannagh, Annie Wersching, Kip Pardue, James Marsters, and Ever Carradine will play the teen superheroes’ villainous parents, who are all members of criminal organization The Pride.
