While Captain America’s third standalone Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is set to be released within a month and half, his British equivalent, Brian Braddock, aka Captain Britain, has never had a live-action appearance. But the MCU is expanding, and more superheroes from the pages of Marvel Comics are being introduced in almost every new venture. So, one would expect the 79th greatest comic book hero of all time to arrive in the MCU.
And it appears that he will arrive very soon! A Captain Britain television series is apparently in the works, according to the esteemed poster designer, Ciara McAvoy. The Scottish poster designer, who has worked for movies like X-Men: First Class, Star Wars: Episode III, and most recently, Victor Frankenstein, posted the following text via her Twitter account:

When further interrogated about the tweet, the poster designer revealed that she's been "paid to do the promo poster" - so Captain Britain's arrival in a television series is "really happening".

In response to another query about her tweet, Ciara McAvoy revealed that Brian Braddock won't be a guest-star in an existing Marvel series, but he would be the star of "his own" series. She also stated that the superhero "hopefully" would be played by a British actor, and that she is "using one as model". She added:
I can’t reveal anything yet, but hopefully I’ll be able to soon. Waiting for the go ahead from the co-producer.
For those who aren't familiar with Captain Britain, the character was created by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe back in 1976. Brian Braddock was endowed with extraordinary powers like superhuman strength, force fields, energy beams, flight, etc. by the legendary magician, Merlyn, and his daughter, Roma. The patriotic superhero was assigned to uphold the British laws.
