For quite a while, it was rumored that DC and Warner Bros were working on a new TV series about the Justice League. This rumor has now been confirmed by Warner Animations, with the series centering on Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
Each episode will occupy a ¼ hour slot and it will be action packed, according to the official announcement (each episode will also be split in two 11 minutes parts). If this doesn't excite you just yet, the actors which will lend their voices to the characters will surely change that.
Thus, Justice League action will feature the voice talents of Mark Hamill for the Joker and Kevin Conroy for Batman, while James Woods will be Lex Luthor and Diedrich Bader will be Booster Gold. There is no certain release date for this new animated series, though it is expected to be released sometime this fall.
Here is the official announcement: "Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman lead the DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge."

Justice League Action won't be the only series to feature the League, since Machinima will also release sometime this year the second season of Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles.
In other news, DC and Warner Animation have revealed the cover art for Justice League vs. Teen Titans, as well as the release date. Thus, the original animated picture will be released for digital download on the 29th of March and it will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on the 12th of April.
