The first official teaser for Daredevil Season 3 has arrived and it finds Matt Murdock back in the church, but only to make a dark confession.
The teaser titled Confessional was actually attached as a post-credits scene to the recently-released Iron Fist Season 2. It's a 30-second-long sequence from the upcoming season of Daredevil that shows Charlie Cox's character sitting in a confessional with rosary beads clutched in his hand. He is donning the all-black outfit that he used for fighting crime throughout the inaugural season. It's evident that Matt has just had a fight as the lower half of his face is smeared with blood. We hear The Man Without Fear saying:
I once believed that justice could be found in a court of law, and in the light of day. But I was fooling myself. Darkness only responds to darkness. And the truth is, I’d rather die as the devil than live as Matt Murdock.

On Twitter, Matt's colleagues from The Defenders have all reacted to his ominous message. While Luke Cage appears to be sympathetic, Danny Rand seems to have already started considering Matt a threat for the city. And then, there's Jessica Jones who is as always unwary and sarcastic. Marvel and Netflix are still keeping mum about the premiere date of Daredevil Season 3, although we are pretty sure that it will arrive later this year. The upcoming season is apparently adapting elements from the iconic Marvel Comics storyline Born Again.
Along with Cox, Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) have been confirmed to return. The season is set to introduce Hart of Dixie star Wilson Bethel as the fan-favorite supervillain Bullseye. The Fosters star Jay Ali will also have a role.
