Those of you who have already watched the entire Daredevil Season 2 would know what eventually happens to Elodie Yung's Elektra and what would possibly happen. The last scene makes it pretty clear that this isn't the end of the story for the character in the Netflix portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While most of us are so pleased with Jon Bernthal's The Punisher that we want to see him get a standalone series of his own, are we that impressed with Elektra? Do we want Elodie Yung's character to get a standalone series? We don't have a general consensus on it yet, but we now know whether or not the actress wants it!
During a recent interview with IGN, Elodie expresses her reluctance to think of her Daredevil Season 2 character getting a solo series. She claims that she loves Elektra and has "a special spot" for the character, but she isn't interested in a standalone series. She says:
Having my own show - it's not something that I think of, it's not. I think I would choose to do things because they are interesting, because I like a character or because it's very well written. Or because it makes sense. So that's my answer.
She wants to return as Elektra in The Defenders!
Even though the French actress doesn't think of an Elektra standalone series, she definitely wants her character to return in The Defenders! And she assumes that her character would be on the evil side if she returns in the upcoming superhero team series. Here's what she states:
I would love to appear in The Defenders. I don't know - because hopefully she'll maybe be on the bad side. I don't know - I don't know what they'd do with Elektra in The Defenders, but that would be a good dynamic, I think - to be confronted by these four superheroes, and I think it would be interesting - I'd be curious to see what they do.
