Good news for the fans who've missed Elektra in the first season of Marvel's Daredevil! The female ninja assassin seems to be in Marvel's plan for the second season of the Netflix series. Why does it seem so? That's what a couple of leaked audition tapes indicates.
The audition tapes were tweeted out from the Twitter account Marvel_Spider. The even-better-news is that the videos were deleted shortly afterwards - that definitely adds some weight to the speculation that they were actually meant for the Elektra role!
According to ComicBookMovie, the conversations in the two audition tapes apparently look like those to have taken place between Elektra and a possible victim, and then between her and Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil.
The ninja assassin was played by Jennifer Garner in the Fox Studio big-screen ventures of 2003 and 2005 - Daredevil and Elektra respectively. Each of the movies earns a top spot on the list of comic book movies that bagged, oh well, HORRIBLE RESPONSES!
Actresses Auditioned For Elektra Role!
What the audition video tapes also seem to suggest is that Marvel may be looking for an actress…(Continued to Page 2)
(Continued from Page 1)… with martial arts and dance experience for the role of Elektra. The actresses who've been auditioned are Shiva Kalaiselvan and Louisa Mignone - neither of them is a big name in the industry yet. However, both of them look are "˜very exotic looking', suggests the referred source. Why did they delete the tapes before I saw them!
The Top-Rated Show On Netflix Instant!
Meanwhile, the inaugural season of Daredevil – which obviously didn't feature Elektra - has become the top-rated show on Netflix Instant with a rating point of 4.6 out of 5 stars, reports Business Insider. It has left behind popular Netflix shows like House of Cards, Breaking Bad and Sherlock. Alive Inside - the Alzheimer's documentary - is the only one have as high rating points as Daredevil. Inclusion of Elektra may help the second season of the series to receive something bigger. What do you think?
