The second season of Marvel's Daredevil is set to air all of its episodes in a week and a half, with two popular Marvel Comics anti-heroes - Elektra and The Punisher. Even though most of us are excited about Elodie Yung and Jon Bernthal's new characters in the series, some are concerned about their costumes. Will the two characters get costumes that resemble their comic book counterparts’?
Well, it seems that they will! A set of billboards has been spotted in downtown Toronto, featuring posters of Daredevil, Elektra, and The Punisher. While we get a new look at Charlie Cox's The Man Without Fear in his upgraded costume, we get to see for the first time Bernthal's Frank Castle with the iconic skull on his chest for the first time. And Elektra's outfit is more red, compared to what we've seen until now. Check out the posters below (via Imgur)!
Matt and Foggy's friendship is at risk in Daredevil Season 2!
In Daredevil Season 1, we saw Matt Murdock share an exemplary friendship with Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson. But it seems that the bond between "the best damn avocados" is going to be on shaky ground in the upcoming season. That's what we can sense from the two showrunners' words. Here's what Doug Petrie said in a recent interview with TV Guide:
Foggy loves Matt. He's very protective of him, but he's scared of him, and he's got to protect himself, ultimately"¦It's like having a friend who's in the program. Like, "I'll be with you, but there's a point when your behavior is un-endorse-able. And for the good of both our mental health, I'm getting out of here.”
We can pretty much understand Foggy's protectiveness towards Matt from the first season, and also from the official trailer for the second season. We heard Matt arguing, "Blood is being shed!" Then Foggy’s arguing back, "And you've donated more than your fair share!"
Marco Ramirez, the other showrunner of Daredevil Season 2, added:
Watching the buddy comedy version of the Matt and Foggy Show might feel lovely, but it’s not something in the writers’ room that we ever really wanted. What we love about those two characters is…how much they love each other, and constantly testing that friendship at every turn, and constantly getting them to a place where it almost feels like is this going to be it for these – for lack of a better term – brothers.
