Ant-Man and the Wasp is going to be as any successor to a good superhero film: a challenge. The whole production crew must come with original ideas, keep the thrill and stick to the original source as much as possible. There are not many details about the plot in Ant-Man and the Wasp, except what Peyton Reed briefly revealed.
The movie will explore family dynamics, the relationship between Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne, and Scott Lang’s relationship with Cassie. We were introduced since Ant-Man 1 to this kind of approach, as family relationships were at the base of the story leading to further happenings.
But Reed also talked about Ant-Man 2 as “weirder”, and here’s where we got stuck. Maybe there ant not many details because the writing team has not been complete until now.
Who is going to write the story of the Ant-Man and the Wasp?
Deadline reports that Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari signed up and will join Paul Rudd on the writing team.It is also official that Adam McKay will return to help make Ant-Man and the Wasp a hit. Mckay will break up the story and the other three will take it from there and write the script.
While promoting his movie, The Big Short, McKay expressed his enthusiasm about any Marvel production and availability to contribute to Ant-Man and the Wasp:
"Oh absolutely. I was weaned on Marvel as a little kid so I'd do anything for Marvel. I know they're talking about ANT-MAN 2 so I let Feige and Paul Rudd know, I'm on deck man, gimme the call because I had so much fun doing the first one." (via JoBlo)
So we will probably hear soon about the story in Ant-Man and the Wasp, meanwhile we lurk.
