Harley Quinn

Besides the other big villainous character (of which we see just a couple of shots), Harley Quinn is the most important character in Suicide Squad. This is known ever since we've found out about the script being rewritten. So does this mean that Suicide Squad will also be an origin story for her? We see her transformed, licking the prison bars, cocking a baseball bat, chewing bubble gum, and other things. So maybe what follows is in some flashback.

There is a hint that this will happen, right when the trailer ends.

We know that the relationship between the Joker and Harley is a very twisted one, a sort of Stockholm syndrome taken to the extreme. If this Harley is based in any way on the comics, then she used to be a psychiatrist in Arkham, falling in love with the Joker after attempting to treat him.

Of course, she is abused by him. Is this what the final scene from the teaser is all about? It sure appears so. Isn't she the one, dressed like a doctor, being thrown on the bed by one of Joker's goons? Isn't she the one tied on the bed, with Joker caressing her? It sure appears so.
