Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles

Justice League Gods and Monsters Chronicles

Before the release of the animated Justice League: Gods and Monsters, Machinima announced that they are planning to release a short series named Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles, centering on the three main characters of the animated movie.

And you know what? The shorts are actually pretty good, ranging from comedy, to horror and then to heart-breaking. Obviously, this isn't the exact order. But still, the storytelling is awesome, for the 5 minute clips. Check them out below!

Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles - Twisted

Batman and Harlequin

The first short features the alternate Batman, who is the scientist Kirk Langstrom, voiced by Michael C. Hall (after a terrible accident, Langstrom transformed into a vampire). Check it out below!

Obviously, this is the horror part of the three shorts. You may say that it is a bit too much to call this a horror. However, if we were to see this in live action, it would give us more than just chills on the spine.

And that is thanks to this version of Harlequin (voiced by Tara Strong) (don’t know why, but this short reminded us of the awesome The Cell).

Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles - Bomb

Superman, the son of Zod

The second short is about Superman (voiced by Benjamin Bratt), who is in this continuity the son of Zod, raised by illegal Mexican immigrants - now that is a twist!

Obviously, Superman has no problem with killing his enemies. However, this version of Brainiac (voiced by the same Tara Strong) can only make us feel empathy. And the fact that Superman still kills him, for a greater good, almost puts a tear in our eyes.

Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles - Big

Wonder Woman, the horny version

The last Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles short features Wonder Woman, voiced by Tamara Taylor. And this is the funny one!

In this continuity, Wonder Woman is the ex-bride of the new god Orion. And she isn't as pure and as, well, decent as the regular Wonder Woman.

What do you think of these shorts?

Justice League: Gods and Monsters will be released on the 28th of July.
