Erin Richards – Barbara Is An Uncaged Animal!

The character development of Erin Rickards’ Barbara Kean in Gotham Season 1 was something we never expected (at least I didn’t)! She didn’t transform from Jim Gordon’s fiancé to his wife – rather she shockingly transformed into a psychopath who killed her own father and mother.

If you thought Barbara will revert to the harmless character she used to be, be sure that this won’t be what happens in Gotham Season 2! That’s what Erin Rickards herself confirmed to Zap2it in a recent interview. The actress stated, “She’s like this uncaged animal now. She’s been unleashed onto Gotham.”

Rickards went on to say that her character has got rid of ‘the last structure around her, or the pressure’ by killing her parents and this is what releases her as a ‘new, free being’. However, there’s something that won’t change at all – her feelings for Ben McKenzie’s Jim Gordon. According to the actress, “That’s her motive whole time.”
