Flash ended with a bang - and will most likely continue that way. But here is some interesting news about season 2, about a new character.

Of course, it is to be expected for some new characters to be introduced, whether they are villains, heroes, or supporting characters. And while not all of them are worthy to be mentioned at the moment, this one seems pretty important. How come? Well, it hints at the appearance (or at least existence in the same universe) of other superheroes.

So who might that be?

Flash's Felicity Smoak

It has been reported that this new character will be like Arrow's Felicity Smoak, a supporting character who will provide much needed help to Barry Allen. Furthermore, it is hinted that this Flash character will also be the love interest of the main hero.

Who is she? All that is known is that her first name is Wendy. Of course, we can continue that she might be a certain Wendy White, a nerdy tech genius who will become, over the course of time, romantically attached to Barry.

Of course, this is a good thing, keeping in mind what happened in the first season of Flash.

Future connections

As far as the connections to other superheroes are concerned, Flash season 2 might hint, through this one character, at two different superheroes.

The first one is Cyborg, who was rebuilt by Wendy White after the Infinity Crisis. The other character which can be connected to this Wendy is the one that replaced Oracle, namely Proxy (who is, in fact, the hidden identity of Wendy White).

And if you think that Cyborg has little chances of appearing on the small screens, then think again - after all, Flash is coming on the big screens and this was no impediment for him to have his own, solo, successful series.
