Patty Spivot (played by Shantel VanSanten)

The second season of Flash will introduce Patty Spivot who is, in the comics, a friend and partner of Barry Allen. In the series, according to Entertainment Weekly, Patty is a police officer and a possible love interest for Barry Allen. But there is more than just this.

According to the executive producer, she wants to enlist as an anti-metahuman fighter and she has quite the good reasons for this. In the second episode of Flash’s season 2, she is said to be the only cop standing her ground against a supervillain. As far as her motivations are concerned, they will be revealed all throughout the second season.
