On 22 August, 2013, Warner Bros and DC Comics confirmed that the world will be introduced to a new Batman in the second installment of Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. They announced the name of someone who's played Daredevil in the 2003 big screen adaptation of the blind superhero which was the subject of immense criticism.
The name was Ben Affleck. As soon as the name was announced, tough time for everyone started! Fans couldn't believe Christian Bale will be replaced by someone. What made them furious was the name of the actor who disappointed them as Daredevil. A petition was made in Change.org to eliminate Ben from the role. Almost 95 thousand people backed the petition! Christian Bale revealed after more than a year that even he was very shocked knowing that his era as the Caped Crusader has officially ended!
On the other hand, Warner Bros and DC had been struggling to convince the fans that Ben was appropriate pick for the role. Ben couldn't obviously have a great time in such a weird situation. However, as days had went by, support for Ben Affleck's Batman, or Bat-Fleck, amplified with celebrities like the original Batman Adam West, Avengers director Joss Whedon, Wolverine star Hugh Jackman and popular singer Justin Timberlake standing by his side. Now, there's someone not a new one to drop good words on Ben's favor, rather someone dropping new words on his favor!
Who Is Backing Ben Affleck's Batman?
In later half of last December, she claimed that Ben Affleck is "˜hot'. Earlier this month, she addressed him in the People's Choice Award as a "˜real life Batman' while presenting him a humanitarian award. Now, in a recent interview with "˜Press Association', she releases more good words on the 42-year-old actor! And she's none other than the Lois Lane of 2013"˜s Man of Steel, and the upcoming Batman V Superman and Justice League Part 1, Amy Adams!
What Does Amy Say About Her Co-Star?
Amy strongly backed Ben Affleck for the role saying that he is going to be his "˜own unique thing'. She also added that the actor has got "˜a wonderful quality' and "˜a great body of work'. The 40-year-old actress admitted that she had "˜just one scene' with Ben and didn't see him much playing Batman. "But what I saw was fantastic" said the actress.
While fans had been assuming Bat-Fleck to be unique in a bad way, Amy tries out convincing them that he'd be unique in a good way! What do you guys though?
