Why The Flash Season One Second Half Promises Most? - Daily Superheroes - Your daily dose of Superheroes news

Why The Flash Season One Second Half Promises Most?

It was on 7 October, 2015, when The Flash debuted on the CW with the Pilot episode. The Warner Bros television series had the season's first half completed with episode 9, The Man in the Yellow Suit. By far, the journey of the superspeedy superhero in the small screen has been fantastic. The feedbacks have been highly positive.

The CW series has bagged the People's Choice Award for Best New Drama. A number of sites have put it on the number one spot in the list of top comic book television adaptations leaving behind its DC associates Arrow, Constantine and Gotham along with Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.S.

Now, the question is will The Flash be able to maintain the lead with the season's second half? Even though we don't have a crossover episode like Flash vs. Arrow of the season's first half, there's plenty of stuff in the second half that promise to outshine other comic book ventures on television as well as its very own first half! Let's check out the top five reasons for why that seems likely!

Reason One: The Reverse Flash Mystery Yet To Unfold!

The other shows have also left the fans speculating on some vagueness of the second half. Arrow questions how things are going to advance in the absence of their lead man Oliver and how would Starling City get its rescuer back after having been defeated by Ra's Al Ghul in the sword fight. Gotham questions how Gordon's life is going to be in his new assignment Arkham Asylum.

But The Flash has made fans speculating more than those topics with its Reverse Flash identity mystery. We already know Dr. Harrison Wells is indeed the Reverse Flash, but it isn't yet clear whether he's the only one. We also know there's some kind of connection of Eddie Thawne with the man in the yellow suit. A triangular twist like that makes The Flash season one's second half a must watch segment!

Reason Two: Someone's Reprising His Role After 24 Years!

We've already seen The Flash of 1990 CBS adaptation as the father of Barry in the CW series. John Wesley Shipp will have another popular cast from that series in the second half of The Flash season 1. But this man isn't playing anybody's father; rather he's set to play the role that he played on the 7 February 1991 episode, The Trickster!

And it's none other than the veteran Hollywood actor Mark Hamill! It will be mesmerizing for the fans, especially the older ones, to watch the sixty three year old actor reprising his role after twenty four long years. Who else's got such unique cast?

Reason Three: The Epic Flash Feature Time Travel On Its Way!

Those who've read comic books on the superspeedy superhero must know well that one of the most intriguing features The Flash is Time Travel. We didn't have Time Travel in the first half of the season but it's something that has been promised by an executive producer of the series and even by Dr. Harrison Wells and his operating system Gideon.

What makes Time Travel more anticipated is a number of fan theories holding it to be the key to some surprises, like Eddie Thawne is Professor Zoom from the past or the CW series links to the CBS original. Now, Greg Berlanti's team can bring out something epic using Time Travel and we expect them to do that!

Reason Four: Loads Of Comic Book Baddies To Pop Out!

Apart from Mark Hamill's Trickster, there're a number of baddies set to challenge The Flash in the second half of the season. What makes these villains more appealing to the fans than those of the other shows is the fact that they bear rawness from the comic book. Heat Wave, Captain Cold and Weather Wizard reflect the expectations of the comic book fans more.

Moreover, we've already received confirmation that there's going to be the introduction of the first female baddie in the CW series, Lisa Snart. Mad Men star Peyton List has been confirmed as the cast for the role.

Reason Five: The Love Triangle Twist To Intensify!

In the first half of The Flash season one, love between Barry and Iris was one sided. Even when Barry confessed his love to Iris, she didn't seem to be comfortable with it. Recently leaked photos reveal Barry and Iris sharing a romantic kiss, which obviously indicates love breeze is blowing through the heart of Iris as well!

But if that happens, what about Eddie Thawne! Is Iris set to break up with him? Is that something that's instigates Eddie to come upfront in the limelight against Barry?

Whatever it is, there's no doubt that The Flash second half is going to rock! What say you, guys?
