Spider-Man is finally taking shape at Marvel, with the search for the main lead being narrowed down to two actors. But this isn't all, since Deadline has come up with a list with the 5 main contestants wanted by the studio to help the first Spider-Man movie for Marvel.
Quite surprisingly, Drew Goddard isn't among these directors, even if he was already rumored to have signed and even if he has already worked for the studio in bringing the Daredevil series to the small screen "“ to a great success, we might add. So here they are, the directors wanted by the studio!
Jonathan Levine

While Jonathan Levine struck it big with the zombie comedy Warm Bodies, his first critical acclaims came with the comedy 50/50, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen. Spider-Man isn't the first Marvel project to which Levine was presumably attached, since he was also rumored, last year, to helm Doctor Strange.
Ted Melfi

A newcomer, Ted Melfi turned heads last year with the Bill Murray vehicle Saint Vincent. And while this was his first project, he actually managed to get one hell of a performance from young Jaeden Lieberher, opposite Bill Murray. We all know that Marvel wants to see Spider-Man as young as he comes and still in high-school.
