Metallo

Metallo is the kind of villain who could put to good use some supporting characters in addition to Superman. Thus, if Metallo were the villain, we might actually get to see Lois Lane being a journalist.

Metallo was rumored to be a villain in Batman v Superman, and he was rumored to be portrayed by Scoot McNairy. It wasn’t so – even if Lex Luthor eventually used the character played by McNairy in his schemes.

As a villain for this Superman, Metallo works perfectly. He isn’t too big (like Brainiac, for example), but at the same time he is iconic. And his backstory (his relationship with Lois from the new 52) would be very interesting to see on the big screen.
