Loki - the God of Mischief

Loki is the God of Mischief, but he should be called the one that united the Avengers for the first time. And this happened not just in the MCU, but also in the comics - Loki was the first villain the Avengers fought in the "˜60's. So, in a way, we should all give our thanks to this god - if it wasn't for him and his magic, we wouldn't have had seen one of the greatest teams of superheroes at work.

Under the power of Thanos

The brother (half-brother) of Thor would do anything in order to seize the throne of Asgard - and this also means allying with one of the most dangerous beings in the universe: the Mad Titan himself, Thanos.

And while we know that Loki is a trickster who is, essentially, a puppeteer, in the MCU (after the first Thor movie) he is reduced to being a puppet. As god-like as he is, we know that he fears Thanos - that is one of the reasons why he attacked Earth, after all.

The throne

At the end of Thor: The Dark World, Loki has taken the place of Odin on the throne of Asgard. If we pair this with what we said before about his allegiance to the Mad Titan, then we see a plan taking shape.

But let's look a bit further into the future - the third Thor movie will see the return of Loki and it will be called Thor: Ragnarok, which basically means that the end of the world will come. Could this mean that Loki will bring Thanos (or any of his minions) into Asgard in the same way he brought the Frost Giants in the first Thor movie? Could this mean that Loki is, ultimately, the architect of his own destruction?

A possibility

What happens after Ragnarok? Well, the gods don't actually die - in a way, it can be said that they are refreshed. Of course, after Loki brings the Ragnarok and the fall of Thor, it is very unlikely that we will see another Thor film being made - however, maybe in the future"¦
