The Death of Sarah Essen Gordon

Of course, as far as tormenting his enemies, the Joker is known to bring his worst when confronting the Batman. However, James Gordon has also suffered a lot at the hands of the Clown Prince of Crime.

During the No Man’s Land storyline, when Gotham was in ruins after being hit by an earthquake, Joker intended to kidnap and kill all the toddlers of Gotham in order to, well, maintain the chaos for a bit longer. While in the same storyline he did his fair share of evil deeds, none seems more horrific than the time he shot Sarah Essen Gordon in the head.

So how did he do it? He distracts her attention by throwing a baby at her – and, as she attempted to catch the baby, he shot her.

So James Gordon is dead in the DCEU. There is a rumor of Batman having an Oracle. What if we have another flashback with this death? Or what if the Tunnel of Love torture is all about Sarah instead of Barbara? It can all play out just the same!
