Justice League 2 and Others
When Warner Bros. made that first announcement in 2014, Zack Snyder was set to direct Justice League Parts One and Two, which were obviously supposed to be connected. However, returns for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were disappointing, the second movie was postponed indefinitely, and Zack Snyder was left with Justice League (no longer Part One).
And then there’s Booster Gold, which was originally going to feature Blue Beetle. It was announced in May 2016, but never officially entered development. Zack Stentz (X-Men: First Class) and Greg Berlanti were writing the script, but nothing has been heard about it since.
They also announced another Suicide Squad spin-off that would focus on Will Smith’s character, but we’ve heard nothing more about it.
Lastly, Warner Bros. won’t have Jason Momoa as Lobo. That movie is reportedly being written by Jason Fuchs. Now that R-rated superhero movies have proved to be bankable, maybe Warner Bros. will make Lobo a priority.
