3. Uncanny X-Force

Aaaaaaand now we transition to another covert ops superhero team! Aha! Got my segue game back! Take that, Past-Me! But yeah, let’s talk about the Uncanny X-Force team!

“But Hunter,” I can hear you saying, “aren’t they already making an X-Force movie? Also, you’re incredibly witty and charming.” First of all, thanks, reader. But I think we should just stay friends, and second of all, the X-Force movie we’re gonna get doesn’t seem like it’ll be the Uncanny team, which is a thing that makes me sad.

Written by Rick Remender just like Secret Avengers was (What did I say about my segue being back on point?), Uncanny X-Force followed the covert ops team dedicated to doing things the X-Men didn’t want to do. This kinda included (spoilers) murdering a teenaged Apocalypse in the first arc. An act which haunted the team for the rest of the series. Even Deadpool. Who is famously conscienceless, according to people who’ve never read any Deadpool.

Oh, I guess I coulda just said, “This has Deadpool in it.” That woulda sold you on the series, huh? Well, live and learn.
