Second Screening Added for BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE

Next Monday, July 25, "Batman: The Killing Joke" will be screened in more than 1,000 U.S. theatres, but if you waited too long to buy your ticket, you're in luck: Fathom Events has added a second screening of the film thanks to audience demand. Tickets are now available for screenings on Tuesday, July 26 as well.

The Fathom Events website announced the additional screening and advised fans, "Participating locations for July 26 are limited and ticketing is being set up continuously so click on the orange “Buy Tickets” button to purchase today. If online ticketing is not available for your location, please check back often or visit the local movie theater box office."

The special screening includes two special features. Mark Hamill, who provides the voice for The Joker, will be featured in a special introduction before the movie starts, and there will be a behind-the-scenes look into the filmmaking process following the credits.

If you're attending San Diego Comic-Con this week (the convention kicks off Thursday, July 21), "The Killing Joke" will be screened there as well. If you have to settle for watching the film at home, it becomes available digitally on Saturday, July 23, and on DVD and Blu-ray August 2.

Directed by Sam Liu, the animated film features Hamill as The Joker,  Tara Strong as Batgirl, Kevin Conroy as Batman, and Ray Wise as Commissioner Gordon. The plot follows Batman's hunt for The Joker, who attacks Gordon and his family.
